After your book was released, what was the first thing you did when getting ready for your book launch?

I went to Peter Lugars with my agent. It’s become sort of a tradition.

Did you do anything different to spice up your website in lieu of your upcoming book release?

My brother is in charge of my website, www.monsterland.com, and yes he definitely enhanced it to meet the themes of the second book, Monsterland Reanimated.

Did you ever consider using a PR agency to help you promote your book or did you prefer the DIY route?

Yes, and it was not a great experience. My mom has taken over the role of publicist and made this incredible publicity machine.

What are your views on social media for marketing your book?

Social media is everything when it comes to getting your name out there. I am personally not a big fan of social media though. My in-house publicist runs my social media sites.

What social media has worked best for you?

All of them, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter.

Did you time your book launch around a certain holiday?

The Monsterland series has come out the past two Friday the 13th

Any tips for those authors wanting to set up a successful book launch?
